Causes and Treatments For Excessive Sweating

Hyperhidrosis, or excessive sweating, is a problem that many people face. The cause of hyperhidrosis is thought to be an overactive sympathetic nervous system. If you suffer from hyperhidrosis, then you know that you really cannot control your sweating. Most often your symptoms are treated by prescription antiperspirants and sometimes even surgery. Sometimes, these are not enough to solve your sweating problems.

Perspiration is a problem for everyone. There is no way we can stop our bodies from producing sweat. It’s our body’s way of preventing overheating. Heavy sweating is more embarrassing, whether it’s from hyperhidrosis or nerves or heat. Usually, a good antiperspirant/deodorant will be sufficient to control heavy underarm sweating. Body powder for the average sweater will enough to control groin, body, and back sweating. Foot powders are often enough to control gross, sticky feet sweat on an average person.

For those of you, like me, who tend to sweat profusely, there is hope for you. There are natural treatments available to help control your excessive sweating that doesn’t involve surgery or medication. I know that surgery was an option for me after talking to my doctor, but it wasn’t the right choice for me. The thought of surgery for hyperhidrosis made me cringe. It does take an emotional toll on you, but unless you want to be on medication your entire life or go through painful surgery, then seek a natural way to kick your uncontrollable sweating in the butt.
